Description
The Velu Thampi Memorial(V.T.M) College of Arts & Science was established in 2004 as a self supporting Linguistic Minority Institution.The College is owned and managed by VTM Educational Trust, a Unit of the Kanyakumari District Nair Service Society,registered on 15th December, 1997. (Reg.No : 745/97).The College is located on a sprawling 10.01 acre campus in Arumanai Town Panchayat, Vilavancode Taluk,Kanyakumari District.The College is named after the great patriot and freedom fighter, Velu Thampi Dalava of the erstwhile Princely state of Travancore. The foundation stone for the college building was laid by His Highness Uthradam Thirunal Marthandavarma on 17-03-2002. The College building was formally inaugurated by Sri. N.Dhalavai Sundaram, Honourable Minister for Public Health, Govt. of Tamilnadu on 06-02-2005.
