Kulapathi A. P. C. Veerabahu started the V. O. Chidambaram college of Education in the year 1955. Usually girls in those days were not allowed for higher education. To overcome that he started A. P. C. Mahalaxmi College for Women in the year 1973.

Disciplined Aided College
Government aided college with good discipline. Run by VOC COLLEGE EDUCATION TRUST. WELL situated near the outskirts of Tuticorin which helps girls from villages. College shows no interest in getting donation from students. Students were trained well in education, cultural activities and sports and games.
A Great Place to Grow
I did my undergraduate course in English. Studying in A.P.C.Mahalaxmi College for Women is one of the best thing that happened in my life. The staffs really helped and motivated me in improving my skills. This institution have helped me in nourishing my interest. Studying here will act as a steeping stone for everyone to succeed in dream.

One of the best college for girls. This college hails in following the culture and heritage of Tamilnadu. All staffs are qualified and upgraded teaching and also concentrates on extracurricular as well as various additional courses for the welfare of students.
